Big hair!

I've been using various volumising products for about 5 yrs! I longed for a thick head of hair! Mine's the typical Asian hair, ... Flat. Straight n black in colour! I've got Bridget Bardot hair envy!!!

But not her right now though... Here's a before and after

Eeks! Anyway,... Prolly 30? 40? Yrs ago, she was the ultimate sex kitten symbol! Loveeeee that hair! Guess the angelina of that era?!

Anyway, thanks to whoever created volumising hair products! What I'd like to do is share my top 3 :)

#2 & #3 respectively...

Fat hair '0' calories by Sami (approx$6) & Sunsilk's natural volume (approx$10)

I'll start with #3 sunsilk natural volume. It's good for just a couple of hrs. Ok if you're just using it for a nice dinner in the restaurant but it definately won't hold the volume if it's a big night out! ;)

#2 the fat hair '0' calories by Sami. Honestly, I bought this because of it's cute name hehee... Fat hair '0' calories :) I didn't expect much out of it but it worked better than I expected! It's good for a big night out :) however, don't leave it in your hair too long before blowdrying! It may leave a slightly sticky residue. Best to be blown dry immediately after applying the product to damp hair!

And the #1...

Tigi's catwalk root boost!!! Not only does this last over hours and through out the whole night, my hair's still kinda fat the next day! The dowside is... It's approx $26!

The way I work the product into my hair...

After a shower, towel dry your hair. Work product in a stripe all over the hair and comb thru with a wide tooth comb. Then.. Flip your head upside down and blast it with the hairdryer!

Do let me know if you've got or know any good volumising hair products! :)

Takoyaki! W/ crabstick

Arrgghhhh.. This is the 3rd time I've tried to post this n blogpress didn't save it! It's sooo frustrating! Here I go (again!)

I've made takoyaki, it's the 3rd or 4th time that I've made it.

Firstly, prepare the ingredients you'll need.
- 450 ml water to boil with 1/2 sheet dried kelp+ bonito flakes. The stock would become a yellowish colour. Then remove flakes+kelp from pot
- place it in a bowl with 2 eggs
- mix it well with 200g flour+some bonito flakes

Next, chop up some spring onion leaves, pickled ginger, crabstick and some bonito flakes+tempura breadcrumbs

You'll also need a takoyaki pan :)

You'll need to do this part quickly, place batter & crabstick+ginger+flakes+onion+crumbs on the pan and roll!!!

Keep rolling until they're smooth, I use 2 satay sticks to roll them.

:) for the sauce, you can use the tonkatsu (this is a crumbed pork dish or u can use chicken)

You don't need to get a bottle of tonkatsu sauce if you've got these at home! Just mix 2 tbs each of tomato and soy sauce!

Get the balls ready on the plate!!!

And sauce it!!!! Squiggle jap mayo+bonito+tonkatsu sauce and...

Tadaaaa!!!!

Honestly, this got devoured in 5 mins! Not all by me, my bro and Sis helped with the eating as usual!

Now, your turn! Let me know how you go :)

Occupied

Been bz with twilight saga n re-reading eclipse :) then we both went to freo's art festival. It's just street buskers performing. Had lots of fun! Will post pics soon!

Ohh n updates on jap night too! This was held at the deen, northbridge. Here it is.

We were early! The event started at 5-9pm! Gosh.. I don't think I've ever gone nightclubbing THAT early!

This artist, Goma (from japan of course!) was great! He spun techno while playing the digeridoo(??!???) ahaha.. I don't think I've spelled it right.

And.... There's also takoyaki!!!! Yum! But was quite expensive :( $5 for 6 balls I think.

I'll make some sometime this week... Just need to get some octopus or maybe crabsticks. I've already got the pan n other ingredients!

Blue nails this week!!! :)

Twilight & New Moon

These past 2 days I've been reading new moon. While at the same time, trying to complete an assignment! Impressive huh?

Btw... Didn't really like new moon much. Edward disappointed me but made it up in the end. I guess that's y it took so long to finish, yes 2 days! Hehe.. As for twilight, it didn't only took 1 day to finish reading it! I couldn't put it down!

Anyway, yay! That I've got 2 week break before the chaotic semester starts again!

I'll be taking a short break before I start on book 3- eclipse. My cat, friends and bf must be annoyed the I've ignored them! Sorry!!!

Tip- if u haven't or want to read the twilight sagas again, u can download it to the iPhone / iPod touch. Love it!!! Plus it cost cheaper too.

Trade sketches

I've been so busy for the past week doing these trade sketches! This is my assignment for the fashion design course I'm taking :)

We dont sketch for skinny girls. These are based on a template of a 'real' woman! Here's some pics of my work. I won't post the horrible sketches I did on my first week of that unit! :P here's the good ones ...

Made up a draft sketch for a dress with princess line, A line, fluted and V neck so I didn't have to draw 4 separate ones! Clever huh? :)

This was my attempt at a embroided skirt

Coverfield collar on a single breasted jacket

And pants! Although I enjoyed this unit, I'm glad it's over for now! Starting Part 2 at the end of April!
