Cuticles, food and 4WD

My nail care is always the last thing on my mind! Well.. Not anymore! :) I've finally bought cuticle oil! This is by Bloom, it's called cuticle quencher! Only $12 from Myers.

I love the way this works! Just like YSL's lipshine/lipgloss! It has a brush appliqué and so easy to apply that I'll never be too lazy to care for my nails again!

For those who don't know what cuticle nails are for, they help moisturize your cuticle which is a bit of skin that overlaps on your nails! This also helps to encourage strong, healthy nails :)

Other pics.. Mostly stuff I cook for the past couple of weeks!

Kuih serimuka... I want to try this again, almost got it right!

Five spiced chicken stew :)

Pak choy with tofu in egg sauce. I know it's too much tofu but I love eating it!

Stewed black bean pork ribs!

My version of pulut panggang! I don't have banana leaf so I decided to make use of the sushi molds! It's easier this way cos this batch was made for the 4 wheel driving trip!

Here's some memorable pics from the trip.

Bogged prado.

License plate from John's car fell off while trying to get up a steep hill.

The outlander's bumper cracked!

Finally.. We get there! To the hill top and it's a...

Beautiful view!

Liquid eyeliner review

I'm obsessed with liquid eyeliners! It's such a godsend! You can wear it alone for a crisp and clean look or under pencil eyeliners to make it smugy and last throughout the day! I've tried a few over the years.. Here's my thoughts!

Besides the above Lancome, the FaceShop and covergirl, I've also tried Chanel's and Skin food's liquid liners!

(above pic posted 22aug! I'm cleaning my makeup table and found it! The Chanel liquid liner)

Chanel- extremely pricey and unfortunately, price didn't live up to the result :(

Skin food- it's good if you are lazy :) after drying, it peels off. But downside, it won't last long on your lids!

Lancome- too watery for my liking.

TheFaceShop- I like the brush but, the liner doesn't stay on for the day. I had to reapply at least once every 4-5 hours!

Covergirl- I did heart this product for a few months. It did a good job and lasted longer than any I've ever tried!

Finally, I found the eyeliner of my dreams!!! Love it!!! Thank you Mr Max Factor!!!

I bought this before going on holiday to Asia (Brunei, Malaysia, Hongkong and China) last month. This product lasted through humidity! It's sooooo awesome! And at an inexpensive price too!

If you're a beginner or a pro at eyelining, I would recommend this! The brush is soft at it's tip! and stiff thereafter! This helps you to be more controlled! And no 'pot' to put into for refilling the brush, it automatically wets the brush! No shaking needed! *I bought this in myer

Ps: trip pics soon! 1 pic i've shared with a twitter-blogger can be found @swexyhk

iPhone bling

I love to bling my iPhone! I did these 3 about a month ago. I'm currently using the white pearls and crystal one! ^_^

I just buy clear iPhone back cases from eBay , approx $3 including delivery! The crystal stickers are bought from KL and Brunei. You can get them from eBay too! Overseas they're about $3 each, on eBay, I've seen going for $5-7 each.

I've bought more crystal stickers during my recent trip overseas! Golds, pinks, black and white ones :) I'm going to start that once my clear cases arrive!

I can't wait!

PS: I don't stick them 1 crystal piece at a time... I don't have the patience! I cheat! Hehee... The stickers come in sheets ;) I'll blog the cheat's guide when I do the next 3 bling cases!!!

Kiss me deadly

Just finished reading "Kiss me deadly" by Michele Hauf. It was a free book downloaded from Stanza app through Harlequin from my iPhone.

I'm still stuck on Twilight sagas and have read all 4 books 3 times now! So I downloaded something 'sort of' different. This romance novel is between a vampire and a witch. And it has werewolves in it too!

Get this, the vampires and witches are natural enemies but the vampire falls under the witches's accidental love spell! Humourous at first but then came all the detailed f* sessions!

Overall it's an 'ok' book. Took 3 days to complete. However, the other series that follows it.. will need to be purchased and I'm not sure if I would. But the author does leave it hanging to obviously want you to want more of Nikolous and Ravin plus *** (I don't want to spoil it!)

I would recommend this to some friends!

Ok.. Maybe I overdid it

I was back in Brunei again and I also took a trip to Hong Kong with my dad! We got a new dog! RIP mattrix was suspected to have been poisoned :(

Anyway, to cure mum's heart, we got another dog! Scruffy! :)

He's sooo adorable! However, his skin had somesort of fungus on it and he really stink when we got him. He's been treated and given lots of love! So he no longer stinks now!

Ok, here's where I overdid it on shopping. But can you blame me? Hahaa..

Bangles! Some crystal, some resin and some are just plastic!

3 boxes of falsies! The black box is Korean, bought from sasa and the other two are Taiwanese from sogo.

MAC loot from the colourcraft and naked honey collection. I was told that the naked honey wasn't available throughout Asia! But I managed to get this from hongkong international airport duty free area :)

The green and orange pack are eye pads! Cucumber and orange. So I don't have to peel them to use fruits on me anymore (or until I run out of them) pack of 10! Some empty cosmetic jars and bottles and those 2 other pink ones are Japanese! One's an eyelid glue to help achieve the look of double eyelids without the surgery :) and a false eyelash applicator (which I don't really need but I'm just curious about!)

Big hair!

I've been using various volumising products for about 5 yrs! I longed for a thick head of hair! Mine's the typical Asian hair, ... Flat. Straight n black in colour! I've got Bridget Bardot hair envy!!!

But not her right now though... Here's a before and after

Eeks! Anyway,... Prolly 30? 40? Yrs ago, she was the ultimate sex kitten symbol! Loveeeee that hair! Guess the angelina of that era?!

Anyway, thanks to whoever created volumising hair products! What I'd like to do is share my top 3 :)

#2 & #3 respectively...

Fat hair '0' calories by Sami (approx$6) & Sunsilk's natural volume (approx$10)

I'll start with #3 sunsilk natural volume. It's good for just a couple of hrs. Ok if you're just using it for a nice dinner in the restaurant but it definately won't hold the volume if it's a big night out! ;)

#2 the fat hair '0' calories by Sami. Honestly, I bought this because of it's cute name hehee... Fat hair '0' calories :) I didn't expect much out of it but it worked better than I expected! It's good for a big night out :) however, don't leave it in your hair too long before blowdrying! It may leave a slightly sticky residue. Best to be blown dry immediately after applying the product to damp hair!

And the #1...

Tigi's catwalk root boost!!! Not only does this last over hours and through out the whole night, my hair's still kinda fat the next day! The dowside is... It's approx $26!

The way I work the product into my hair...

After a shower, towel dry your hair. Work product in a stripe all over the hair and comb thru with a wide tooth comb. Then.. Flip your head upside down and blast it with the hairdryer!

Do let me know if you've got or know any good volumising hair products! :)
